Meeting minutes:

Attendees: Amit, JonG, Henry, Max, Jan, YiFeng, ChrisV, Jim, Andy,
Sandrine, Raj, RichL, Dennis

1.	Disabling deletion of infected files by vscan Functional Spec
<http://intranet/md/Software/Kegg/Functional%20Specs/vscan%20deleteinfec
ted.doc>=20
a.	Agreed on the command syntax as "vscan set deleteinfected ?"
b.	Review closed.
c.	Ed, please mark the document as reviewed and change the revision
no. as 1.0
		=09
2.	CIFS ForceGroup Support Functional Spec
<http://intranet/md/Software/Kegg/Functional%20Specs/force-group.doc> =20
a.	Not everybody had reviewed the document; hence the review was
moved to next week.
		=09
3.	Quota Tree on pre-populated Directories Functional Spec
<http://intranet/md/Software/Kegg/Functional%20Specs/quotaTree_Dirs.doc>

a.	Jonathan mentioned that ONStor recommends nested quotas over
simple to customers. Hence putting restrictions on nested quotas is not
something that's going to work.
b.	Also putting restrictions on mirroring or snapshot revert is
unacceptable because for DMIP its mostly true that the admin at the
remote site would not be aware if tree quota were created and that some
of the snapshots are unusable. Also, for cases where the snapshots are
user created they might want to revert to those snapshots
c.	Also if a snapshot is created while the quota create operation
is in progress, it should be possible to revert to such snapshot. As
part of revert the quota creation should be completed for the remaining
files.
d.	Jonathan had a question regarding why there is a limit on only
one quota create operation at one time. This is because if there is
parallel quota creation under the same tree, things become quite
complicated and messy.
e.	The performance impact of this should be less than 10%. Also the
priority should not be to make this run faster; rather it should be to
make regular operations run faster while this is in progress.
f.	Raj and Sandrine wanted to know if we could provide a time
estimate on how long a quota convert would take. Since this depends on
so many variables, its not possible to give a time estimate.

Please add to this if I missed anything.

Thanks,
Amit
